Each row becomes one JSON object, keyed by the header row's column names.

  3. 3

    Copy or download

Frequently asked questions

What CSV format does this expect?

A standard CSV with a header row on the first line and one record per following line. Quoted fields (with embedded commas, quotes, or newlines) are supported using the usual double-quote escaping.

What does "Infer numbers/booleans" do?

When checked, values that look like a number (e.g. 30) or a boolean (true/false) are converted to that type in the JSON output instead of staying as plain strings.

What if rows have a different number of columns than the header?

Extra values beyond the header are dropped, and missing trailing values are left out of that row's object rather than filled in with a placeholder.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. Conversion happens locally in your browser using JavaScript — nothing you paste is sent to a server.
