Frequently asked questions

Is this image editor free to use?

Yes. Resizing, cropping, rotating, watermarking, converting, and compressing images is free and does not require an account.

What image formats are supported?

You can upload JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF images, and export the result as JPG, PNG, or WebP.

Will resizing or compressing reduce image quality?

Resizing to smaller dimensions and increasing JPG/WebP compression both reduce file size, and higher compression can reduce visual quality. The live preview and estimated file size update as you adjust settings, so you can balance size against quality before downloading. PNG is lossless, so its quality is unaffected by the quality slider.

Are my images stored after I download them?

Images processed through the Resize, Crop, Rotate, Watermark, and Convert tools are uploaded, processed, and then deleted automatically after 24 hours. The Compress and Merge tools run entirely in your browser, so those images are never uploaded to a server.

Can I compress an image to an exact file size, like 50KB?

Yes. In the Compress tool, enter your target size in KB next to an image and click "Hit size" — it automatically searches for the highest JPG or WebP quality that still fits under that size, which is handy for exam, passport, or visa upload limits. PNG is lossless so it can't target a size this way.

Does the favicon generator create a real favicon.ico file?

Yes. The ZIP includes a proper favicon.ico alongside individual PNGs (16×16, 32×32, 48×48, apple-touch-icon, and Android Chrome sizes), a site.webmanifest, and the exact <link> tags to paste into your page's <head>.

How many images can I merge at once?

You can add as many images as you like. Drag the thumbnails to set the order, choose to stack them vertically or place them side by side, and merge them into a single downloadable image.

Is there a file size limit?

Uploaded images can be up to 5MB each.
