Frequently asked questions
What units are the margins in?
Points, the standard PDF unit. 1 inch equals 72 points, and 1 centimeter is about 28.35 points.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is loaded and cropped entirely in your browser using JavaScript - it never leaves your device.
Does cropping delete content, or just hide it?
Cropping sets each page's visible crop box, which is how PDF viewers and printers determine what to show - the underlying content stream is unchanged, but viewers will only display the cropped area.
Can I crop different margins on different pages?
This tool applies the same margins to every page. For page-by-page control, a desktop PDF editor is a better fit.
