Convert iPhone Photos to JPG
iPhones save photos as HEIC by default, which many Windows apps and older devices can't open. Drop your photos in below to convert them to JPG - free, in your browser, one file or a whole batch at once.
No files selected. You can also drag and drop here.
HEIC/HEIF is the photo format iPhones save by default. Files are decoded and re-encoded entirely on your device - they never leave your browser.

Sharing iPhone photos on Windows

Some email clients render HEIC attachments as unreadable blobs for recipients - convert to JPG before sending.

Convert an old batch of iPhone photos to a universally-supported format before moving them to long-term storage.
Frequently asked questions
What is a HEIC file?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the default photo format on iPhones and iPads running iOS 11 or later. It compresses better than JPG, but many Windows apps, older devices, and websites can't open or accept it.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The HEIC file is decoded and converted to JPG or PNG entirely in your browser using JavaScript - it never leaves your device.
Can I convert multiple HEIC photos at once?
Yes. Select or drag in as many files as you need, convert them all in one go, and download each one individually or grab everything at once as a ZIP.
Should I choose JPG or PNG?
JPG is smaller and works everywhere - it's the right choice for most photos. PNG is lossless and better suited to screenshots or images that need a transparent background, though HEIC photos rarely need that.
Why did a file fail to convert?
Live Photos and some burst-mode HEIC files bundle more than one image inside a single file, which can trip up conversion. If a file fails, try re-exporting it from the Photos app as a still HEIC first.
