Frequently asked questions

What does "Numeric" sort do?

It sorts lines by the numeric value found at the start of each line (smallest to largest). Lines without a leading number are sorted to the end, in their original order.

Does the case-insensitive option change my text?

No — it only affects sort order, so "Banana" and "apple" compare correctly regardless of case. The output keeps your original capitalization.

Can I sort and remove duplicates at the same time?

Yes — turn on "Remove duplicate lines" alongside any sort mode and duplicates are dropped before sorting.

Is my text sent to a server?

No. Sorting happens entirely in your browser — nothing is transmitted or logged.
