How to split a CSV file

  1. 1

    Add your CSV

Paste CSV text into the box, or browse for a .csv file to load it in.

  2. 2

    Choose how to split it

Pick "Rows per file" or "Number of files" and set the value.

  3. 3

    Click "Split & download ZIP"

Each part is generated as its own .csv file and packaged into a single ZIP download.

Frequently asked questions

How does "rows per file" work?

You set how many data rows each output file should have, and the tool creates as many files as needed to cover every row. The header row, if kept, is repeated at the top of each file.

How does "number of files" work?

You set how many files you want, and the rows are divided as evenly as possible across that many files.

Is the header repeated in every split file?

Yes, if "First row is header" is checked, that row is copied to the top of each split file so every part stays usable on its own.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. Splitting happens locally in your browser using JavaScript - nothing you paste or upload is sent to a server.
