How is profit or loss calculated?

Profit or loss = selling price − cost price. A positive result is a profit; a negative result is a loss.

Percentage = (profit or loss ÷ cost price) × 100. For example, selling a ₹800 item for ₹1,000 gives a profit of ₹200, which is 25% of the cost price.

What if cost price and selling price are equal?

There is no profit or loss — the calculator shows ₹0 and 0%.

Is anything I type sent to a server?
