Frequently asked questions

How does the salary calculator work?

It converts your salary to a yearly figure first (using your working days per week and hours per day), then derives the monthly, weekly, daily, and hourly equivalents from that.

Why do I need to enter working days and hours?

Converting between weekly/daily/hourly figures depends on how many days you work per week and hours per day — these vary by job, so they're not assumed.

Assumes how many weeks per year?

The calculator uses 52 weeks per year and 12 months per year for the conversions.

Is this gross or net (take-home) salary?

This is a straightforward conversion of whatever figure you enter — it does not apply tax, PF, or other deductions.

Is anything I type sent to a server?

No. Every calculation runs entirely in your browser — nothing is transmitted or logged.
