Free CSV Filter

Keep only the CSV rows that match a condition on one column — instantly, entirely in your browser.

How to filter a CSV file

  1. 1

    Paste your CSV

Paste CSV data into the input box, with a header row if you have one.

  2. 2

    Set the column and condition

Pick the column number, choose a condition, and (for most conditions) enter the value to compare against.

  3. 3

    Click "Filter →"

Only rows matching the condition remain, with the header kept at the top.

Example use cases

1

Narrowing down an export

Pull out just the rows for one city, status, or category from a larger CSV export.

2

Finding incomplete records

Use "Is empty" to spot rows missing a required field before importing the data elsewhere.

3

Checking a numeric threshold

Filter rows where a price, score, or quantity column is above or below a cutoff.

Frequently asked questions

Is the header row kept in the output?

Yes, if "First row is header" is checked, it's always kept at the top of the output regardless of whether it matches the filter condition.

"Greater than" / "Less than" on text values?

Those two conditions parse both the cell and the value as numbers; a cell that isn't a valid number never matches either condition.

What does "Is empty" match?

It matches rows where the chosen column is blank (an empty string) after the CSV is parsed.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. Filtering happens locally in your browser using JavaScript — nothing you paste is sent to a server.
